CPR & First Aid Courses

The Apex Centre is an authorized training partner of the Canadian Red Cross. Courses are open to the public. In addition, we arrange special classes for school groups, including SHSM-specific courses as well as sports teams, and will arrange corporate on-site training on request. Call us for details.

Standard First Aid Recertification

Standard First Aid
$150

  • Duration: 14 – 16 hours (flexible scheduling hours)
  • Provides 3 year certification in Standard First Aid – Level A, C or BLS and AED
  • Requires 100% attendance, skills demonstration and 75% passing grade on written test
  • Re-certification: 6 – 8 hours Cost: $90.00 + HST

Emergency First Aid
$100

  • Duration: 6.5 – 8 hours (flexible scheduling hours)
  • Provides 3 year certification in Emergency First Aid – Level A, C or HCP and AED
  • Requires 100% attendance, skills demonstration and 75% passing grade on written test
  • Re-certification: 4 – 6 hours Cost: $65.00

First Responder

  • 40 hours (flexible scheduling hours)
  • Prerequisites: CPR Level C
  • 3 year certification in Frist Responder, CPR Level HCP and AED
  • Requires 100% attendance, skills demonstration, 80% passing grade
  • Re-certification – 20 hours (flexible hours) – includes CPR Level HCP
  • Re-certification Cost – $350 + HST
